Chemical testing of cosmetic products aligned with government guidelines is essential for both domestic manufacturers and importers. Regulatory bodies including the CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation) and BIS mandate that cosmetic products meet specific chemical safety standards before entering the Indian market.

Testing covers restricted substances, preservatives, colorants, pH, heavy metals like lead and mercury, and label compliance verification for domestic and imported cosmetics.
